The hike to San Juan Hill from the Casino Ridge Staging area is a shorter, and steeper way to the peak. The trailhead is located on the southern side of Chico Hills near Water Canyon. It's a beautiful trail to explore, and the parking is free.
The town of Lake Elsinore became developed and took off in1888. It was a stop on the famous Butterfield Stage route. Are you looking for a longer hike, without a lot of difficulty, where you can see all the beauty of the Angeles Forest? Follow me on the PCT from Inspiration Point to Wright Mountain, with views of Mount Baldy, Mount Baden Powell, and Pine Mountain.
This is a 15 mile loop hike bordering the Cleveland National Forest, in Caspars Wilderness Park along Ortega Highway. It has a historic point of interest, the site of the historic San Juan Hot Springs. Parts of the trail are very overgrown. Follow along on the journey as I hike the Oso and Juaneno Loop.
