Tucked away in Anaheim Hills is a small canyon, filled with oaks, wildflowers, and birds. Oak Canyon is a place you can get away from it all, on a short, manageable trail, beneath the oaks. There are trails ranging from under a mile, to a three mile loop here, for all levels.
I hiked to Holy Jim Falls once the trail had re-opened after the Holy Fire ravaged the area. The trail from Holy Jim to Santiago Peak is still closed. There is beautiful scenery all along the way. I would be hiking to Cucamonga Peak in the Angeles Forest. This is a scenic and beautiful 12 mile hike, with about 4000 feet of gain, past Icehouse Saddle. There is a creek running through Icehouse Canyon. There were lots of beautiful cascading waterfalls here.
