12 Mile Run in Ladera Hills – Arroyo Trabuco Trail

I set out on the Arroyo Trabuco Trail, which is a 16 mile long trail along Aliso Creek in Ladera Ranch, CA. The trail terminates at O'neil Park, in Trabuco Canyon, within the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. There are actually two trails, one along each side of the creek. Depending on how high the water level is, there are a few possible spots to cross it, and reach the other side of the trail. The alternative is to cross via the bridge at Crown Valley Parkway, or Oso Parkway.

Dana Point Harbor Hike

Follow me for a scenic 3 mile hike around Dana Point Harbor in Orange County, CA past the boats and ships docked by Baby Beach, and the Ocean Institute. It's an east hike, that just about anyone might enjoy, if they love boats, and nautical stuff, as much as I do.

Hiking to Castle Rock in Winter

Castle Rock trail is a beautiful scenic trail, amongst Ponderosa pines on the southern side of Big Bear Lake, within the San Bernardino National Forest. It is the most popular trail in the Big Bear area. I would get to experience awe inspiring views of the lake and mountains here in wintertime, on a 2.7 mile hike in the snow.

Hiking to the Bear Creek Oasis

I headed off towards the Bear Creek Oasis from the Cove Trailhead in La Quinta, CA in February. Winter and spring are the best times to visit here. There is a large parking area, and is a popular place to hike. There are plenty of signs, picnic tables, and a restroom here at the trailhead.
