Death Valley: Mesquite Dunes

Follow me on my journey exploring in Death valley National Park. My first stop will be Mesquite Flat San Dunes. As I approached the dunes driving down Highway 120, I could see off in the distance a very large dune, several hundred feet high, shaped like a pyramid, which seemed to be several miles from the road. I sort of had made up my mind, I had to get there, and have a closer look.

La Jolla Tidepools Hike

I decided to check out the tidepools along the beachside cliffs of La Jolla. It's a scenic and beautiful hike which can be enjoyed year-round, but is best enjoyed at low tide. There are sea caves, and plenty of sea life all along the way.

Hiked to the Peak in Santiago Oaks Regional Park

Started off hiking up the Santiago Oaks Creek Trail, and through a series of many different trails, on up to the ridge. I took Oak Trail, Yucca, and then Bumblebee.
