The San Clemente Ridgeline

There is a four mile long paved trail along the ridge in San Clemente. There are several other unpaved, un-named trails that branch off from the main paved one. It is possible to hike up to 7 miles, all the way to “The Nob.”

I went on a 6 mile trail run at sunset, and checked out some of the different single track trails. In springtime the flowers start to bloom in February, and the hills are very green everywhere. There were lots of pink, purple, and yellow wildflowers along the trail.

There are the rusty remains of cattle ranching in the area, and a cattle trough.

I hiked and ran about 6 miles, and enjoyed another beautiful sunset.

I could see all the way to Dana Point Headlands.

The views over San Clemente of Saddleback Mountain from the ridge line.

This turned into one beautiful sunset.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, and it is helpful in knowing what to expect, should you decide to visit here.
