I love surfing, especially at Sano. I’ve been surfing as long as I remember. My Dad was a surfer in the 60’s in the times before they used leashes. I would consider myself a bit of a soul surfer, unless the waves are over 3 foot. I can be kind of a woos these days in terms of waves.
I used to charge the bigger sets much more. When the waves are not that great, somehow I have the most fun. I guess I like to just feel like I am not fighting with the waves out there.
I love it when it’s empty. I love it when its windy, and even rainy. I love an empty set of waves all to myself. I guess I just crave solitude. I love the ocean, and I think I always will.
Swimming, sponge boarding, it does not matter, I just love to be in it.

I’ve been surfing here as long as I can remember.

It’s a special place. People like to show up here with their longboards, and drive volkswagons, have a fire pit, and hang out here all day. No shame in that.
Once a year there is a volkswagon convention of sorts.
The waves today were 2-3 feet. It was slightly textured on the water, but the waves were fun.

I would not mind having a bus one day.
There is not much to say about. I drive into Sano, preferably on an uncrowded day, during an off time, when there in no line. I surf for about an hour, I contemplate life, I feel grateful, and head home. I’m not the type to lounge on a beach chair. I might read a book for 30 minutes, and drink a cup of tea. I don’t stay all day. to each their own. I will always love this place.
Until next time Sano!
I hope you enjoyed reading this, and it is helpful in knowing what to expect, should you decide to visit here.
