Hiking at Peters Canyon Reservoir on a Windy 80 degree day

Bush Sunflower
Snow capped Mt Baldy in the distance
Looking out towards Sierra Peak and the Santa Ana Mountains
Trail here is wide like a fire road
Peters Canyon has many trails to choose from
Reservoirs create a habitat for migrating birds, who nest here
Just a few climbs make this 2.5 mile loop a step up from an easy hike, so you get a bit of cardio in
Trail was relatively empty, but is not usually here…must have been the heat!
Sierra Peaks towers visible from here
I thought this cactus had a cool shape to him
Hope you get to try this hike!
